V. Memories

I'm not sure how many people have actually picked up on the blog move but, let's give it a try...

1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Ok, Lisa, here’s my memory. A few months ago I was feeling lonely so I drove down to Bellevue to spend the evening with you. I was going to stay the night and drive back the next morning in time for my volunteer job. But the next morning I had a message that they forgot to tell me that the school I volunteered at was having a half day and they wouldn’t need me to come in. So you convinced me to stay and hang out with you all day, and I had the best day! I was so happy all day because you’re such great company! We just did normal mundane things for half of the day and then drove into Seattle to see a movie with Tressa that evening (which turned out to be a bad movie), but it was the best day I had had in weeks! I really wish we lived closer together!

I'm so glad I got to be a part of that day! Okay, since you DON'T HAVE A BLOG (*sad face*) I guess I'm supposed to post my response here.

First memory that came to mind when I thought back was when we were hanging out in B'Ham (back when we didn't know each other at all) and somehow you and I ended up going to see a movie together while they guys did something else. We saw Punch Drunk Love at the Sehome theater and I DIDN'T get it--didn't like it at all in fact. We walked out of the theater and I kept trying to gauge your reaction to the movie because I didn't want to say anything negative if you had really liked it. I don't recall the conversation but somehow we finally realized that neither of us liked it and I was so relieved! Then we actually started talking more because neither of us was worried about insulting the other's opinion. :)

I'm so glad that you and Lars invited us to carve pumpkins...and thus gave us the opportunity to finally get to know each other all these years later!

AH HA! I found your new blog!

Lisa, this convinces me that we haven't hung out enough. We need to do a Girls' Night. Invite Hannah. :) We'll eat cake, tell stories, be chicks. Let's invite a crowd!

Thanks for hanging out at the fabric store with me. I wanted to spend some time with you when you didn't have a job. :) Then you got a job. Was it me? Was I just coming on too strong? Can we make this WORK!?!?!?!? See you next Sunday. Sorry, it's late and I get crazy. :)

Oh, hey! I'm understudying in a play. Check it at my other blog...!
